Maria Balbina Hadfield

Maria Hadfield, longtime resident of Clinton, passed away at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, on January 16, 2022, at the age of 88. Maria was born in Aibonito, PR on March 31, 1933, daughter of Demetrio Rios and Sylvia Perez.
Maria is survived by her sisters: Maria Luisa Rios, Margarita Perez and sister-in-law Sofia Rios. Devoted mother to: Jose (Rosalie) Capo of Atwood, KS; Carlos (Puchi) Capo of Kissimmee, FL; and Carmen Guimond-Drake (Michael) of Westbrook, CT. Loving grandmother to: Jeremy Capo, Nick Capo, Matthew Capo, Katherine Carroll, Michael Capo, Carlos Capo Jr., Rene Capo, Anita Rosario, Janida Medina, Benito Capo, AnnaMarie Capo, William Cartagena, Jennifer Fineza, Meredith Guimond and Justin Guimond and 34 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond Hadfield, brother, Serafin Rios, sister Carmen Rios, and brother-in-law Candido Perez.
Maria retired from Chesebrough-Ponds. She loved her family dearly. She was a faithful servant and member of Puerta de Refugio Spanish Christian church in Guilford, CT.
Friends are invited to the funeral service on Saturday, January 22 at 10 am at Bethel Assembly Church, 246 Boston St., Guilford. Burial will follow in Beaverbrook Cemetery, 90 Old Post Rd., Clinton. Arrangements are in care of the Guildford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
