Pauline and I were life-long friends beginning at the age of 8 for her and 9 for me. We were more like sisters since we lived close to each other and I spent more time at her house than at my own. Her family treated me like family. She and I shared many memories and secrets. She was my support system as I tried to be for her. I am going to miss her phone calls, the laughs, the caring and sharing. My deepest sympathies to her husband, brother, sister and family. She will live on in my heart and my mind. Pauline and I met in the second grade. I was the new girl in class and on day one she came right over and took me under her wing. That says it all. We kept in touch through the years, sharing life's milestones right up until the night before her surgery. She will be remembered as kind, loving and generous with a tremendously spirited sense of humor. My heart goes out to her loving husband of 40 years, Bill Burke, and her big, beautiful family. My arms are wrapped you all. Penny Lyons

Deepest condolences to Bill and family. Pauline (and Bill) was the best neighbor anyone could ever ask for. It was always pleasure to catch up at the mailbox. I will miss updating her on neighborhood news. I loved that we stayed in touch. I will miss ‘seeing’ her on social media. With great sadness, Katherine, Bill & Claire Roland.

Bill, Marge, George & Family—

I am so very sad to know we have to say good-bye to Pauline. She was always such a bright source of light, with her beautiful smile and kind heart. I’m grateful we’ve stayed in touch over the years through Facebook. I know how close you all are—my very deepest condolences as she transitions to a place we cannot follow. May memories of so many wonderful times together provide comfort when you need it most. You are in my heart.
