Wilber, Raymond F.
Raymond F. Wilber, 86, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 5, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of June Smith Wilber for 62 years. Raymond was born in Manchester on April 28, 1931 and was the son of the late Charles E. and Mary M. Kodes Wilber. He graduated from the former North Haven Center School and Lyman Hall High School. Raymond served his country faithfully in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. He had worked for Detroit Steel for 35 years until retiring as the Manager of Production Control. Raymond was a member of the West Haven Rifle & Pistol Club, the National Rifle Association, the Connecticut State Rifle & Revolver Association and the Elm City Gun Club. Father of Kathleen W. Kranich (Jules) and Joanne W. Eckmyre (Carl). Grandfather of Jake Eckmyre and Charlee Eckmyre. Predeceased by his sister Florence Sullivan and a brother Edward C. Wilber.
The visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
