SULLIVAN, ROBERT W. Robert Walter Sullivan (Bob), 76, of North Haven, departed this life on Thursday March 3, 2011. He was born February 15, 1934 in New Haven to the late Vincent J. and Mary Sullivan. Robert was predeceased by his beloved sister Catherine F. Sullivan and brothers Vincent, James and John Sullivan. He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, Mary Sullivan, Michael Sullivan (Susan) and Catherine Sullivan of Chicago, Susan Sullivan (Thomas Confrey) and John Sullivan of Glastonbury; Siobhan Sullivan (William LaHue) of East Greenwich RI, Erin Sullivan of Hamden and James Sullivan (Janet) of Guilford as well as 12 great-nieces and nephews. Bob was a 1953 graduate of Notre Dame High School. After graduating from Southern Connecticut State College, he went on to become a teacher with the U.S. Dept of Defense Dependents Schools, where he taught the children of service men and women stationed overseas. He enjoyed many assignments overseas including Germany, Cuba, Italy, South Korea and Japan. Bob was known for his love of the arts, particularly theater; directing and performing in many plays during his tenure. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
