Rubington, Sara (Sherman)
Sara (Sherman) Rubington of Newton, MA, formerly of Wellesley, MA, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2019, at age 91. Born on April 18, 1927, in New Haven, CT, Sara was the daughter of the late Esther (Dorman) Sherman and Nathan Sherman. For 58 years she was the wife of Earl Rubington, who predeceased her in 2010. She was a talented artist and writer and loved music, movies, cooking and gardening. In the 1970s she was a member of the Boston chapter of the National Organization for Women and was involved in anti-nuclear disarmament campaigns during the 1980s.
