GRACE SILVER STERLING Obituary
Grace (Silver) Sterling, 95, of Mix Ave., Hamden, devoted wife of 51 years to the late Julius G. Sterling, died at her home on July 26, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport, Sept. 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Harry & Goldie Silver. Beloved Mother of Susan Jennison(Watson) of Toronto, Carolyn Sterling(Timothy Hennessey) of Hamden, Nancy White(William) of New Haven. Dear Sister of Natalie Dranoff (Joshua) of Evanston, IL., Lillian Kaplan of Delray Beach, FL., Beverly Hubelbank of Bridgeport, & the late Robert Silver. Sister-in-law of Florence Alpert and Charles Sterling, Ethel Silver & Cecelia Sterling. Cherished Grandmother of Watson Jennison (Susanna Lee), Alexander Jennison (Jamie Bernardino), Patrick White (Sara Richwine), Elizabeth White (Carlos Conceicao), and cherished Great Grandmother of Sheridan Lea and Aurora Grace Conceicao. Grace is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She spent her life listening to and helping others, always giving sage advice, both as a School Psychologist at Hamden High School and as a wise and loving friend to many of all ages. She was our Amazing Grace. Funeral Services at Robert E. Shure Funeral Home, 543 George St., New Haven on FRIDAY Morning, July 28th at 11:00am with Interment Services to follow at the Mishkan Israel Cemetery, Jewell St., New Haven.
