KREIGER, MICHAEL NORMAN Michael Norman Kreiger, age 67, of Trumbull, CT and Beach Haven, NJ, died peacefully at Smilow Cancer Center at Yale-New Haven Hospital under their tender and remarkable care on October 2, 2014. Mike was born in Derby, CT. After graduating from Hopkins School in New Haven, CT in 1964, he received his B.A. from Syracuse University, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. from Fordham University. His early professional years were spent in finance at General Cable and Anaconda Wire & Cable. In 1985 he founded American Bare Conductor, a bare copper wire processing business. He served as a consultant to industry, law firms and the U.S. Department of Justice on copper-related matters. He quit retirement in 2012 to practice law with the firm of Shepro and Hawkins of Stratford. He served on the Board of trustees of Ezra Academy, the Hopkins School, the New Jewish High School and was a President of the Renaissance Condominium Association. He was a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom of Bridgeport, CT and JCC of Long Beach Island, NJ. Mike was loved and will be missed by his wife of 43 years, Shelley Green Kreiger. Loving father of Adam Kreiger (who predeceased him), Rachel and Rich Albert, Sarah and Marc Damelin, and Deborah and Adam Rosenzweig. Adored Poppy of Aviva and Micha Albert, Naomi and Leah Damelin, and Harold Rosenzweig. Beloved son of Elaine Kreiger and the late Samuel Kreiger, and big brother of Barbara Kreiger, Nancy Kreiger and Arthur Kreiger. Contributions will be gratefully accepted by the Adam Kreiger Fund, 18 Inverness Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Services will take place on Sunday October 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM from Congregation Rodeph Sholom 2385 Park Avenue in Bridgeport, with interment following at Beth Israel Cemetery Ladas Place in Shelton. Shiva will be observed at the Kreiger residence, Sunday through Tuesday evening, with Minyan at 6:30 PM. Arrangements are in care of Abraham L. Green and Son Fairfield, CT.
