David Zuber Obituary

Zuber, David P.
David P. Zuber, a quiet man whose favorite Lincoln quote was "Better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." David lost his battle with vascular dementia on January 9, 2018 at Watrous Care Center in Madison, CT. He was 69 years old.
David was a U.S. Army veteran, a Guilford High School and University of New Haven graduate and a Certified Public Accountant.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Viola Wise Zuber. He leaves behind his wife, Maybeth, beloved daughter, Joya, sister, Maureen Bass, sisters-in-law Barbara Skelly and Marie Canning, nieces, Judy Anderson (John), Heather Canning, Ashley Canning, Kathy Bass and nephews, Daniel Skelly (Kristin), John Bass and their respective children. He was predeceased by his avid boating brothers-in-law Peter Canning and William Skelly. Hopefully, the trio is sailing above Block Island's stars.
Services will be held privately. To celebrate David's life, please raise a glass, plant a flower, go
fishing or enjoy time on a beach. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Watrous Nursing Care, Madison,
CT. Donations in David's honor may be sent to Watrous Nursing Center Staff Appreciation Fund, 9 Neck Road, Madison, CT 06443. Arrangements in care of the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. To share a memory or leave condolences, visit
