BAITON, John Passed away peacefully at home on December 7 at the age of 63. Beloved husband and best friend to Helene Baiton (nee Corriveau), loving father to Stacy Hayward (Carey), Stephen Baiton and Krystle Chatel (Andy). Loving Papa to Alex, Branden and Dylan Hayward and Cohen Chatel (Papa's Coco). He will be greatly missed by his sister Diane Rice (Brian) and brother Robert Thewles. His many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Kathy Esler. John has always been a hard worker, 30 years at GDX Automotive, and continued into retirement working part time at APC, then FE golf course. He believed in working hard for what you want, while enjoying life to its fullest. John had a love of sports, whether he was playing hockey, baseball, golf or bowling, he had a competitive nature but more importantly, it was the social aspect that he loved. Many lifelong friendships were made, and Johnny B will be missed by so many. John was an exceptional person in every way and the world is definitely a better place for everyone whose lives he touched and helped along the way. We will miss all of the great times we shared with him. Many thanks the nurses (Kim, Joce, Chona), for the excellent care and comfort they provided us. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no funeral. Cremation has taken place. The family will hold a Celebration of John's Life on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Casa Dante Hall, Lincoln St, Welland.
