Carl Scott Maul
Lafayette - Carl Scott Maul, 50, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2021, at home surrounded by his family after 15 years battling his illness with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
Carl was born December 14, 1970 in Newton, to Faye (Ross) Kangas and the late Frederick Maul. He was raised in the Sussex Wantage area and graduated from High Point Regional High School in 1989, where he was the center on their basketball team. After leaving High School, he joined his father in the construction trade for many years. Carl was an avid NJ JETS fan.
Carl was predeceased by his father Fred, his maternal grandparents, Wesley and Theresa Ross of Wantage, his paternal grandparents George and Mary Maul of Franklin. He is survived by his mother, Faye Kangas, his stepfather Norman of Lafayette, his uncle John Ross, his stepbrothers David Kangas of South Carolina and Fred Maul of Newton, his stepsister Colleen Guber-Decker and many aunts and cousins.
Services will be held privately and are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ.

Dear Faye and family, We just heard of Carl's passing. We are so very sorry for your loss. We can remember watching him play basketball.
