James Bollard Obituary

James Paul Bollard
Moosic Lakes - James Paul Bollard, 56, of Moosic Lakes, died Sunday morning peacefully surrounded by his family. His loving wife of 24 years is the former Alison Duffy.
Born in Blakely, Pa, he is the son of Joseph R. Bollard of Andover, NJ, and the late Mayor of Andover, NJ, Shirlee Mae (Trotter) Bollard. He attended Newton High School and was a graduate of Sussex County Technical School. He was a member of St. Eulalia Parish, Roaring Brook Twp, Pa. He was currently employed by Family Ford in Netcong, NJ as a Ford Senior Master Technician.
Family and sports were a big part of Jim's life. Jim was a diehard NY Jets fan. He enjoyed playing golf, skiing, quading, fishing, attending concerts, quoting lines from movies, attending Curranfest, and supporting small breweries. Jim was a Ford Senior Master Technician for 19 years. He earned many honors from the Ford Motor Co. His favorite was the Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas with Alison and 2 trips to the Ford Motor Co. Detroit Plant where he test drove the new F150 on the Ford Motor Co. Proving Test Ground. Jim was most proud of the large group of friends he made over the 30 years working for many dealerships. Jim said he had a Ford brotherhood of many talented technicians and service writers. Friends and family were Jim's greatest joy. Trips with the Wollard's to Stratton, Killington, Okemo, OBX and multiple amusement parks brought many laughs and lots of great memories. Time spent with the Bollard and Duffy families at Mimi's cottage with cousins by the dozens or at Mom and Dad Bollard's house celebrating holidays and countless birthdays. Jim loved spending time with his brothers Joe and Bob, and their Dad enjoying pizza and beers. Dad called their time together, the Sheriff and his Deputies. Family vacations with his brother-in-law Paul and his family where always his favorite. Spending time fishing and creating nightly firework shows for Colin and Chloe always made for many laughs. But Jim's greatest joy was spending time with his children Ryan, Kelly, and Marnie. His love for them was his greatest gift. Jim was the greatest father and husband. Jim and Alison were soul mates as well as best friends.
Also surviving are daughters Kelly C. Bollard and Marilyn M. Bollard both at home; son Ryan E. Ferretti of Lake Ariel; sisters Joyce A. Bollard of Ephrata, Pa, and Patricia A. Piatt of Washington, NJ; brothers Joseph L. Bollard of Kingsley, Pa, and Robert H. Bollard of Hamburg, NJ; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat Irish.
He was preceded in death by a sister Paula A. Bollard.
