Sherry Hawkins Obituary
Sherry grew up in Seattle, WA and worked as a waitress at Kress department store before moving to Roslyn, WA in the 70's, and later moved to Peoh Point. She worked as a bartender and later went to work at Shoemaker Mfg. Company until retirement. Sherry married her husband Duane in March of 1980 and together they raised her three children. Her hobbies were horseback riding, camping, fishing, sewing and baking. Once Sherry retired, they moved in 2006 to beautiful Rock Island, WA where she lived until her passing. There she met many friends (Debbie/Denny, Sherry & John to name a few) who enjoyed her free spirit, love of family, nature, gardening and most of all baking. Anyone who knew Sherry knew something SWEET was coming.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents Winifred and Ernst Brown, all but 1 sibling and her husband Duane Hawkins. Sherry is survived by her sister Judy Williamson, her three children, Teresa and (Steve) Hackford, Linda (Steve) Berg and Lee (Veronika) Hawkins, 9 Grandchildren (Jasmyn, Philip, Destiny, Patrick, Duane, Ryan, Shelby, Jessyka & Logan), and 16 Great Grandchildren.
Mom, Grandma, Grandma Hooks you will be so missed. Some solace may be found knowing you are once again with your husband and your pups Cash & Carry.
There will be a small celebration of life remembrance at the Rock Island Bar & Grill in Rock Island, WA on March 18, 2023 between 12:00-3:00 p.m.
Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
