Lise Buss Obituary

Lise Lorraine Buss May 24, 1957 - November 3, 2022 We are sad to announce the passing of Lise Buss, 65, of Arlington, Washington. Lise passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 3, 2022.

Lise was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was born in Ellensburg, Washington to the late Warren and Mary Ann Larsen on May 24, 1957. Lise grew up in Cle Elum, Washington and graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1975. She was living in Cle Elum when she met her husband Dennis Buss. Lise and Dennis wed on August 27, 1988 and were happily married for over 34 years. She and Dennis lived in Concrete, Washington for nearly 20 years before relocating to Arlington.

Lise is survived by her husband, Dennis Buss, of Arlington, Washington; her daughter Katie McFarland and husband Tony McFarland, of Canton, Texas; her step-daughter Jessica Willie and husband Chris Willie, of Longview, Washington; her three grandchildren Kaleb Carr, Colton Willie and Kaleigh Willie, of Longview; and one great-grandchild Walker Carr. She is also survived by her three siblings: Dane Larsen and wife Karyn Larsen of Cle Elum, Washington; Becky Nelson of Cle Elum; and Viveca Mackner and husband Pat Mackner of Snoqualmie Pass, Washington.

Lise was a homemaker for many years but within the last ten years she began driving school buses for the Arlington School District. A job she loved and thrived at. She took great pride in her work and cherished the friendships she made along the way.

She was an exceptional wife, mother and friend. She was kind, strong, smart, witty, beautiful and she had a strong love for horses that she passed on to her daughter, Katie. Lise cared greatly for her family and friends. She was so proud of her family and leaves behind many beautiful memories. She was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed.

Lise was vivacious and captivating. She never met a stranger and left her imprint on the hearts of everyone she met. Since she is loved by so many, on both sides of the state, we will be holding two Celebrations of Life to honor her memory.

Please join us on Saturday, November 19 at the restaurant at Rhodes River Ranch in Arlington, Washington from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Or at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20 at the Cle Elum Eagles Club.

We invite anyone who knew her to attend and remember her wonderful life. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation to Hospice of the Northwest in her honor.
