Jane Windhorn Obituary
Jane Schmidt Windhorn died peacefully in Fort Thomas, KY, on Sunday March 6, 2016, at the age of 83. Jane loved to travel and explore by land and sea with her loving husband of 34 years, Bob. They especially enjoyed just being together wherever they were; Bob considered Jane to be his "goddess". Jane was also a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend of many. She loved to entertain at her beautiful home. She was an excellent cook, a world class shopper, an avid reader, and a long time bridge player. Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Windhorn of Villa Hills; daughter, Cornelia (Allen) Shelnutt of Johnson City, TN; son, Lawson (Melanie) Chapman of Elsmere; brother, Henry B. (Gwen) Schmidt of St. Petersburg, FL; grandsons, Jackson Shelnutt, and Colin Regan; and Bob's sons, Dave and Paul Windhorn and their children, David, Hanna, John and Luke. Jane was preceded in death by her first husband, William F. Chapman; daughter, Jane Keith Regan; grandson, Cooper Shelnutt, and sister, Ann S. Bingham. Visitation and memorial service to be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 415 Park Ave, Newport, KY 41071 on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10:30 AM to the hour of memorial service at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the charity of your choice. Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home is serving the family. Online condolences to www.ronaldbjones.com.

I remember Jane as a student at Holmes High school. I always felt she was a very nice and friendly person. She always tried to put people at ease. Our condolences are offered to Bob and all her family and friends.
