Richard W. Rummel, 75, of Cold Spring, Kentucky passed away March 16, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Ft. Thomas, KY. Richard retired from Pipefitters Local 392 and was a member of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his son Richard O. Rummel. Richard is survived by his wife of 40 years Patricia Rummel. Other survivors include his children Terri (husband Manuel) Avila of Zephyrhills, Fl, Sharon Rummel of Zephyrhills, FL and Rob (wife Francine) Rummel of Independence, KY; grandchildren Mary, Sarah, Matt, Lauren, Preston, Brittany and Jared; great grandchildren David, Daniel and Julian; and sister Peggy Shafer of Cincinnati, OH. Memorials suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice,85 North Grand Avenue, Ft. Thomas, KY 41075. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 10:30am. As a nurse, there are always some patient's that will stay in your memories and Mr. Rummel is one of those. He was a nice, kind hearted and very funny man. I enjoyed caring for him while he was in the hospital. I am sad to hear of his passing, my thoughts and prayers are with the family.
