Paul and I started in the State House of Representatives at the same time. He and I were room mates in Frankfort. He and Kitty have been dear friends since our first meeting!! Paul was a true statesman and represented his constituents with honor and integrity. I'll miss him very much!!!

My dear Uncle Paul: So many memories fill me over the many years. My favorite is when you went to see the musical "Annie". My family came to visit you in IL and you played the record over and over and over. I will never forget the sheer joy that washed over your face and how you would sing along-and try to get us all to join in. To this day, whenever I hear "tomorrow", I remember your big smile and twinkling eyes. You were loved by many--and deservedly so. I love you.

Paul was a truly caring and devoted man to his family, his community, his constituency, and especially to the recognition and significance of Big Bone Lick. I am honored and blessed to have known and to have worked with such a giving and genuine person.

A good man, a good public servant, an excellent advocate for Big Bone State Park. Wish there were more like Mr. Marcotte.

I worked with Paul for many years while he served in the KY General Assembly to discuss important NKY business issues and ask for his support. There was no one kinder or more willing to open their door to me to help us improve our region. He was a gentleman who will be truly missed.
