Bonnie Jean (Harmon) King(1936 - 2013)


Bonnie Jean (Harmon) King, 77, of Cold Spring, KY passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at her home. She was born April 3, 1936 in Fleming County, KY. Bonnie is survived by her Husband Raymond H. King for 57 years; Son Jeffrey Alan King of Acworth, GA and Daughter Lori Jean Orth (Dennis) of Goodyear, AZ; Grandchildren Alison and Samantha King of Acworth, Casey Orth of Pittsburgh, PA and Chelsey Orth of Goodyear; Sisters-in-law Sally King of Highland Heights, KY and Christine Harmon of Flemingsburg, KY; and nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special cousin, Sue Veldhaus. Preceded in death by her Parents, Robinson and Mary Alma Harmon Maxey and Stepfather Albert Maxey and Brother Kenneth Harmon all of Flemingsburg, KY. Bonnie was very active in church activities at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Ft. Thomas, KY and in volunteering at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Ft. Thomas, serving many offices of the auxiliary, including president. She enjoyed working in the gift shop at the hospital for 15 years. She retired from the registrar's office at Northern Kentucky University. She enjoyed meeting people and was always ready to share a hug. She also looked forward to traveling with her family and many friends. Her later joys included bowling at Walt's Center Lanes and the Senior Games of Northern Kentucky. She enjoyed playing cards and games with her family and friends. She was a great people person who touched many lives in a very special way. Bonnie is with her family and friends in God's hands as he welcomes this beautiful angel in heaven. Visitation 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, October 25, 2013 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fort Thomas. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, October 26, 2013, at the Church. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery Southgate, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul United Church of Christ, 1 Churchhill Drive, Ft.
