Edgar A. Strausbaugh(1918 - 2013)


Edgar A. Strausbaugh, 95, of Ft. Wright, died Friday, November 1, 2013 at the VA Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH. He was born on August 20, 1918, in Maysville, KY, to the late Robert Dudley and Lettie Browning Strausbaugh. He was a specification supervisor at General Motors for 30 years, an Army Veteran of WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was also a member of the D-Day invasion at Utah Beach. He attended Erlanger Methodist Church and was Vice-President of the Richwood Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ada L. Strausbaugh, niece Norma Jean Strausbaugh Randolph, nephew, Dennis Ray Strausbaugh and great nephew, C.B. Randolph, Jr. Survivors include a nephew, Billy C. Strausbaugh of Carrollton, KY, nieces, Kelly Strausbaugh and Kim Strausbaugh Fitzgerald, both of LaGrange, KY and great nephew, Steven Strausbaugh of Lexington, KY. Funeral service will be Friday, November 8, 1:00 p.m. at MIDDENDORF-BULLOCK FUNERAL HOME, ERLANGER. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
