God Bless all Family, Friends, and Fans. May we be Thankful for the example Jared taught everyone who watched him live his dreams, and not accepting defeat by a struggle with weight. I believe He looked at many options to lose weight. One day Science will prove that the inability to lose weight is a medical problem you're born with, and when found, will be cured.

I'm just one of thousands who loved Jared from afar. He gave us so much more than football. We so appreciate him sharing his life with us these past few years. BBN loses far more than a great football player. He gave to us from his heart to the very end. We lost a wonderful person, and we will feel this loss for years to com.

From the day, I met him briefly he was a great guy. His charisma shined. In middle school, I knew he had the football talent to excel. I enjoyed rooting him on in college football. I was happy to see him move onto great better things personally and professionally. Bless his family and children. I know he will be playing football with the Angels and Saints. God Bless.

I was one of the coaches on Jared's youth football team...the Dixie Raiders. He was a special kid, even way back then. Was absolutely heartbroken to hear the news; he fought so hard for so long. Now he joins his RB from the Raiders (my son) in a Heavenly reunion. I'm sure they're already throwing the pigskin around. Much love & prayers to his friends & family. RIP Champ...

My favorite memory of Jared was once when I was pulling in to the local AmeriStop. He was a senior at the time, and as he exited, there was a group of young boys (8-10 years old) who mobbed him, asking for his autograph and for advice. Jared took the time to talk to each one directly, looking them in the eyes and asking their names, giving them advice, and signing anything they thrust at him. Highlands High School greatly revered their football players, and I thought at the time how proud his parents must be that he had such character, that he would take the time to graciously address his admirers.

Jared Lorenzen was a phenomenal athlete who will never be duplicated. I followed all the message boards while with the Giants and he did amazing things, like better than Eli manning in the 40 yard dash, outweighing him by about 60 pounds. My condolences to Jared's family, he was the greatest.
