1923 - 2016 Obituary Condolences

Joseph A. Patronik, Sr. 92, of Sunman, IN and Park Hills, KY passed away Tuesday at his home in Park Hills. He was a retired Maintenance Foreman & Electrician for Ford Motor Company, Sharonville, which he previously helped to open in 1958. A skilled electrician, he also worked for the Ford Aircraft Engine Division in Chicago. Joe served in the US Navy Seabees during WW II., was a member of St. Paul Church in Guilford, IN and attended St. Agnes Church, Ft. Wright, KY., was a life member of the American Legion Post # 464 in St. Leon, IN, a volunteer usher at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, Cincinnati, but his favorite ushering event was the graduation ceremonies of his son's alma mater, LaSalle High School, Cincinnati each year. Joe was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mary Dunphy Patronik; his 3rd wife, Willa Leavitt Patronik; his son, Peter; his parents, Andrew and Katarzyna Wenta Patronik; sisters, Helen (John Ziga) and Laura (Walter Minkalis), their spouses and his nephew, Richard Ziga. Survivors include his wife, Alma Schmitz Patronik of Park Hills and Sunman; daughter, Christine (Tim Holder) Patronik-Holder of Aurora, Ohio; son, Joseph A. (Leslie) Patronik, Jr. of Marina, CA; grandchildren, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Holder of Washington, DC, Patrick (Kirsten) Holder of Oakland, CA, Robin Patronik of San Francisco and London, England, Joseph Andrew Patronik, III of Marina, CA and Wendy Patronik (Charles) Maldonado of Upland, CA.; six great grandchildren, Ella and Adeline Holder of Washington, DC, Finnian and Nora Holder of Oakland, CA and Tyger and Audrey Maldonado of Upland, CA; nieces, Dorothy Ziga of Indiana, Barbara Olinski (James), Sylvia Neumann (Alan), Judith Gloudeman (Joseph) all of Illinois; plus many grand and great nieces and nephews. Joe is also survived by his in laws, Shirley and Donald Schmitz, Beverly and James Schmitz, Robert and Carolyn Schmitz and their families. Visitation 10:30 am to 11:30 am Monday, April 18th at St. Agnes Church, Ft. Wright. Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 11:30 am. A second visitation is 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Monday evening at St. Martin Church, Guilford, IN with prayers to immediately follow at 8:00 pm. Interment with military honors will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL. MIDDENDORF-BULLOCK FUNERAL HOME, ERLANGER is serving the family.
