Cincinnati - Jay Broderick, beloved husband of 45 years of the late Marilyn Broderick (Fischer), died peacefully at the age of 90 surrounded by all of his children. He is the son of the late Joseph Broderick and Adella (Dilger) Broderick. Graduate of St. Xavier High School, Xavier University and St. Louis University School of Medicine and a U.S. Navy Veteran, Jay was a beloved general practitioner in the Greenhills and Finneytown area who was noted for his extra-ordinary kindness in the clinic, hospital, and patients' homes. Jay loved gardening, tennis, and Xavier basketball. He was most known for his great love of family and was affectionately known as Poopah to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jay and his beloved wife, Marilyn, were the heart of a large and close-knit family. He is survived by seven children and their spouses; Joe (Donna), Tom (Cindy), Marylynn (Tom) Herchline, Jim (Leah), Tim (Kara), Bill (Kendra), and Anne (Joe) Kroger, 23 grandchildren, 8 great-grand children, sister Alice Lubbe and her husband Ron Lubbe, and sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Shirley and Jerry Quatman, and Tom and Kathy Fischer. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.

Friends may call at the Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield, Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday 10:30 A.M. at All Saints Church on 8939 Montgomery Road, preceded by a brief visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at All Saints Church prior to the service.
