June Marie Jana Obituary

June Marie Jana, 91, of Bellevue, Kentucky, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 1, 2018, when her Lord and Savior called her Home. She will join her devoted parents, William and Alma Jana and beloved brother, Bill Jana, who are already in Heaven. She also left to cherish her memories many close cousins and second cousins and numerous dear friends. She was a member of Madison Avenue Christian Church in Covington, Kentucky and St. John's United Church of Christ in Newport, Kentucky. She retired as a secretary from General Motors (Chevrolet Motor Division) in October of 1980. Because of her years of service she took early retirement. She was a faithful servant of God, and a benefactor to her churches, and to many, many relatives and friends. Beautiful, tall and thin, with strong math aptitude and meticulous attention to detail, June was ahead of her time, graduating from high school during World War II at a time when business opportunities for women with those kinds of attributes were not what they are today. She lived the life of a strong, smart, independent woman, proud of her country and hometown of Bellevue, always there to help out family and friends. Visitation at Madison Avenue Christian Church, 1530 Madison Ave., Covington, on Tuesday (February 6) from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Burial following the service at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison Avenue Christian Church, 1530 Madison Ave., Covington, Kentucky, 41011. Special condolences may be expressed at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral serving the family.
