Woodlawn - Patricia (Pat) Gail Cooney (nee Bartlett), aged 81, died peacefully on Friday, August 10, 2018 at her home away from home, Carmel Manor. Pat was born on September 3, 1936, in Woodlawn, Kentucky, daughter to the late Louis and Henrietta (nee Burndt) Bartlett. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Al, Roy (Katie) and Mel, sisters Betty (Bob) and Elaine (Don) and her beloved son, Gregory David. Pat is survived by the love of her life, Robert (Bob) E. Cooney and their beloved children, Bob (Diane), Kim (Brian) McGarr, Doug (Pam), Jeff (Lesley), and Tricia (Denny) Boden. Her family was the very center of her universe. Her family included 14 grandchildren, 7 grandchildren by marriage and 10 great-grandchildren with 2 blessings on the way. Sara, Chris, Mason and Lincoln Dodd. Bob and Kelli Cooney. Stephanie, Jeff, Frankie, and Abe DeMoss. Michelle, Jon, Jackson and Emmett Klingenberg. Britney, Michael and Billie Aviles. Zack, Kelly and Marley Cooney. Michael, Katie, Reeve and Beau McGarr. Ben Cooney. David McGarr. Lauren McGarr. Candice Cooney. Hannah, Jacob and Alexis Boden. Her brothers Bob (Helen), Jim (Janie) and sisters Lou and June and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pat was a graduate of Our Lady of Providence, a faithful servant of God and parishioner of St. Therese Church. Throughout her life she was an active member of the community volunteering as librarian and in the cafeteria at St. Francis De Sales and Newport Central Catholic. She enjoyed playing ping pong, Uno and Euchre. She devoted her life to her husband, children and family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker and caregiver. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 4-8pm at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home located at 427 S. Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas, KY. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at St. Therese Church in Southgate, KY at 11:00am. Her burial and final resting place will be beside her son Greg at the St. Stephen Cemetery. Following burial, Celebration of Life Reception will be at St. Therese.
