William "Bill" Bolmer, Sr.

Newport, KY - William G. "Bill" Bolmer, Sr., 88, of Newport, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Bill was a Korean War veteran serving in the US Army. He was a graduate of Dayton High School where he was an all-state athlete in football and basketball. Bill loved to travel, watch his granddaughters play softball and was an avid UK basketball fan. He was a retired slitter for Cloudsley/Print Pac Printing Company. He was the son of the late George and Barbara (Williams) Bolmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion (Bouras) Bolmer; sons, William "Billy" Bolmer, Jr. and James "Jimmy" Bolmer; granddaughter, Jaimi Bolmer; brother, Robert "Bob" Bolmer and sisters, Norma Raisor and Jean Manser. He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Bolmer and Debi (Mike) Votel; daughter-in-laws, Denise Schindler and Sharon (Greely) Bolmer; grandchildren, Niki, J.R., Britne, Tonya, Nick, Cheyenne, Michael, Robi, Kelli and Staci; great-grandchildren, Lizzie, Jordan, Logan, Paisley Grace, Justin, Tyler and Raegan; several nieces and nephews. Visitation 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 8 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 S. Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas. Services 12:00 noon on Friday at the funeral home.
