Great doctor. Great person. I always had Dr, Hafner as a role model and I learned so many things from him as a very young surgeon in training. I just found out about his passing away. I would've loved to be there to say goodbye to him. He always told me "Juan , we live in tiger country and you need to have eyes on your back "

I'm so sorry that I couldn't join you in saying farewell to such a distinguished man and, more significantly to you, husband and father. (I've been away.) May God help all of you to share love as well as tears, memories, and joy.

Fishing with Don in Costa Rica will always be a fond memory. Sorry, but I can't be with the family for the visitation but a contribution in Don's memory will be made.
