COAKLEY
Janet M. Coakley (nee Sames) 68 of Harrison passed away July 13, 2017 peacefully at her home due to complications from pancreatic cancer. She was born March 15, 1949 in Louisville, KY the daughter of John and Clara (Schwoeppe) Sames. She is survived by her loving husband Ted of 39 years as well as by 4 daughters and 3 son-in-law's, Amy & Collin Climer of Cincinnati, OH, Susan & Joe Hamblin of Cincinnati, OH, Laura Huesman of Tennessee, and Sara & Scott Kondas of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Kylie Huesman, Maddie Climer, Skylar Coakley, Graceann Climer, Nathan Huesman, Savannah & Olivia Kondas. Also surviving are 4 sisters, Charlene Coakley of Louisville, KY, Sharon Cheser of Shepardsville, KY, Linda Meyers of Richmond, KY and Beverly Hicks of Louisville, KY and many other family & friends. She taught English and was the Drama Teacher/Coach at William Henry Harrison High School from 1977 - 2003. During her professional career, she was the English Department Chair, President of the Southwest Local Teacher's Association, and President of the Alumni Association of Morehead State University. Janet was a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics since 2002. Her hobbies include her trips to the casino, bowling, Mary Kay, her grandchildren and walking her beagle, Barney. Visitation will be Monday, July 17, 2017 from 4:00pm - 9:00pm at First Presbyterian Church of Harrison, 115 S. Vine St, Harrison, OH 45030. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11:00am at the church with Rev. Joshua Long officiating. Burial will follow services in Glen Haven Cemetery. Mrs. Coakley always had a smile on her face at school and she always said hi to everyone before school. She lived a block from my parents house and I saw her out walking her little dog everyday. What a great lady!. R.I.P. You will be missed.....
