Had a great charisma, not knowing him I was so excited to see him dining in the same place I was dining at in Alameda. YOU WILL DEFINITELY BE MISSED. Heaven definitely has another angel. Think of us and bless us in our lives on this earth.

Thankyou for the great memories. I am glad to have met you and I still have the Barbie doll, admittedly she no longer drinks, plays pool or smokes in the table pocket but she is definitely a reminder of fun times.. You will be missed...

Sydney SupaNova, 2014
Dear Grant, I only met you once for a few minutes at Sydney SupaNova in 2014, but in those few minutes you made me feel like I was a best friend, showing interest in my costume and calling me by name. I treasure the photo I have of me with my arm around your shoulders and an ecstatic expression on my face. After that, every time I saw you on Mythbusters, I thought, "I've met that wonderful guy." Now I can't believe that the next time I see you on TV, I'll think, "He's gone." It's so unfair, but I thank you so much for giving the world what you did while you could.

We have been watching Mythbusters for years, my 14 year old son Kiran (who wrote his own condolence) literally grew up watching Grant on the show. Grant was definitely our favorite host, he has brought our family so much joy and has sparked my son's interest in science. Grant was the life of the show, he was funny, incredibly creative, full of life and he was an inspiration and a role model for the younger generation.
We are absolutely heartbroken about Grant's passing, it is difficult to grasp. We cannot imagine the pain that Grant's family must be going through at this time, my heart goes out to them. Please accept my sincere condolences, and please know that I am thinking about you, as you mourn the loss of your beloved one. I wish you strength and healing.
Grant, thank you for being such a positive part of our lives. Even though we have never met you in person, you have had an impact on our family, especially on my son, and I thank you for that. Wherever you are now, please know that we will always cherish your memory, and we will keep thinking of you over the years to come. May your memory be blessed.

My first encounter with Grant was at a bar/restaurant during a time when we were all attending a convention a year or two before the recession. I was introduced by a mutual friend. Because we were introduced very formally (by last names), When I realized he was of Japanese descent, I automatically ended up bowing to him. He ended up bowing back and as I was introduced to the rest of his friends there, we all ended up bowing instead of hand-shakes. I find it funny now how things went that night but at the time I was already partially drunk and really nervous (being an introvert) so in my head, I felt the need to bow to show respect. Since then, we met a few more time at other social gatherings and conventions. Your great personality and your energetic thirst for knowledge will be missed. Rest in Peace.

I really enjoyed Grant on Myth busters. I never realized what an extensive and illustrious career that he had. He seemed like a gentle, kind and intelligent person with an infectious laugh. I was pleased that he was an electrical engineer like me. I think that he had a positive influence on many young people to go to school for engineering, math and science. Even though I am not much older than Grant, I wanted to reach through the TV and pat his cheek and tussle his hair. My wife is in agreement. Godspeed Grant. While I didn't know you on a personal level, I will miss you...

My sincerest condolences to Grant's family and friends. I'll always remember him for Mythbusters and that contagious laugh. Growing up I was also the kid that took everything apart and am still a science and mechanical nerd, even though I've endured my share of picking for it. I will be forever grateful to Grant for showing the world that being a science nerd can be a cool thing. RIP my friend. You will be missed.

He made the world a better place, he inspired young generations, he was kind, generous, humbled and sincere with all the people around him. He left a void in the hearts of so many people! Grant was my favorite co-host on the MythBusters show and I hope that his legacy will continue and his love of science will be passed on to new generations. Rest In Peace Grant! You were an awesome human being. Sincere condolences to his family.

To the Imahara Family.

I cannot possibly feel the depth of your sorrow.

As for me, Ive imagined how he may have been as a child...probably highly inquisitive, above average learning abilities and rambunctious! Im sure Grants parents were the proudest in town.

Mythbusters provided me with so many hours of excellent information & entertainment...Grants personality always found its way into me somehow, more so than others in Mythbusters. I usually dont use the word favourites in descriptions-I will though-when speaking about Grant and Mythbusters.

Thank you Grant Imahara for sharing yourself, and your creative, artistic and sciency self with us.

Happy Trails to you.
