David A., 86, of Park Ridge, NJ passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, December 12, 2016.
He was born in Bronx, NY 7/11/30 the son of David A. and Hilda (nee Wicks) Edsall.
Beloved husband of Frances (nee Wienckowski) for 46 years who predeceased him in 2002.
Devoted father of David T. Edsall (Kathy) of Pompton Lakes, NJ, Diane F. Loughran of New Windsor, NY and Kenneth M. Edsall (Kia) of Doylestown, PA.
Dear brother of Helene (George) Deuben and Franklin Edsall who predeceased him this past July.
Adored grandfather of Ryan, Brandon, Timothy and Erin Loughran; Krista, Kasey (Adam Girdner), Kori, Kana, Kenny and Klay Edsall; Laura (Vincent) Guariglia and great-grandchildren Sadie and Nolan Girdner and Louis Guariglia. Also many cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Before retiring Dave was a computer analyst for Securities Industries Automation, NYC. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a choir member for over 44 years and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral Service 10 AM on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, Westwood, NJ. Visitation 4-8 PM on Thursday at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Inc., 155 Kinderkamack Road, Park Ridge, NJ. rsfhi.com
Interment in Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Dave's name to St. Jude Make-A-Wish Foundation, a Hospice or charity of your choice. He generously supported many charities.

I always remember Dave and Fran as very kind and funny people when I was a child. As an adult, I appreciated the support that he and Helene gave me and my mom, especially when my mom was very sick and nearing death. He will be sorely missed but now he has been relieved of,his pain and is born into eternal life with all of our family that went before.
