OAK RIDGE — Services were held for Sally Anne Pilcerq, 72, of Oakland, who died on Friday, November 2, 2012. She was the mother of George Breen of this community.
A native of Oakland, she was a nurse and health teacher at Valley Middle School in Oakland from 1980 to 2006. Also, she was a member of the Oakland Borough Council from 1989 to 2001. She was a life member of the Oakland First Aid Squad as well, organizing toy and food drives for families in need. And, she was a volunteer for the council, legislative, and gubernatorial campaigns of W. Cary Edwards.
Services were Friday at Wyckoff Reformed Church, followed by burial at the church cemetery. Arrangements were by the Oakland Memorial Home.
She also is survived by her daughter, Ruth Kokkinakis of Oakland; her other son, Richard Breen of Pinehurst, N.C.; her brothers, Nathaniel Burgess of Wyckoff, and Richard Burgess of Florida; her sister, Mary Catherine Haight of Ocean Beach; and eight grandchildren.
