Roy Thomas, 64, of Wallington, passed away on July 18, 2013. Born in Paterson he lived in Passaic most of his life before moving to Wallington 24 years ago. A Marines Veteran during the Vietnam War, Roy was a Fireman for the Passaic Fire Department for 30 years, retiring in 2000 and was a member of the American Legion Post #109, Rutherford. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Fanelli) Aponte. Devoted son of Jane (Tanderys) Miller of Bricktown and the late Thomas Miller. Dear brother of Roger of Clifton. Loving step father of Phillip Aponte of Lancaster, PA, and Santine Aponte of Clifton. Funeral Monday Evening 8:30 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation Private. Visiting Monday 4-9 PM at the funeral home.
