Anthony ROCK

Anthony J., Sr., 90, of Wallington, on Sunday, February 2, 2014. Born in Passaic, he lived in Wallington all of his life. He was Stationary Engineer, with a Gold Seal license, at St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic for 15 years retiring in 1990. Previously he was a custodian for the Wallington Public Schools. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Jackson Hole, WY, during his teen years, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WW II, and having seven Atlantic crossings during his enlistment, and was a member of the Wallington V.F.W. Pavlick Koster Post 2640, a member of the Hillside S.A.C. in Wallington, was an avid pigeon flyer, and sports fan for the N.Y. Mets and N.J. Devils. He also enjoyed playing Bingo and frequenting Atlantic City with his companion Agnes Krowska. He was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church in Wallington. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (nee Schock), devoted father of Anthony J. Rock, Jr., and his wife Kathy, of Carlstadt, Donald R. Rock, and his wife Paula, of Wallington, and the late William J. Rock, loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, dear brother of the late Walter Rock, John Rak, Anna Mielnik, and Helen Boffolow. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Thursday, 9:30 AM, from the Kamienski Funeral Home, 106 Locust Avenue, Wallington, and 10:00 AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C.
