Celeste Carnevale

Celeste M. (nee Feula), 87, longtime resident of Ramsey, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimers. Born in the Bronx, NY in 1925, she moved to Ramsey with her family in 1956. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul Carnevale, in 2011. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and homemaker and loved by all. Later in life, she worked in the Ramsey school system in the cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Chris McCombs and her husband Jim, Lucille Muzio and her husband Blane, Paul J. Carnevale and Gerard Carnevale and his wife Pamela. She is also survived by ten loving grandchildren Amy, Mark, Kevin, Meredith, Keri, Caitlin, Matthew, Eric, Alexa and Rhianna. And four great-grandchildren, Daniel, Sean, Grayden and Parker. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Ben Feula and his wife Martha, sisters Antoinette Stravato and Filomena Stravato and many nieces and nephews. Celeste and Paul were both very active with the Friends of the Adornos and St. Paul's Church in Ramsey. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories in Washington Twsp., NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF, 26 Broadway 14th Floor, NY, NY 10004 or Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave 7th Floor, NY, NY 10001.
