Daniel James Bergin

Daniel James, 58, of River Edge, NJ and Franklin Square, NY passed away on November 8, 2013 at home surrounded by family. Danny is survived by his girlfriend Donna Vunck of Franklin Square, NY, his two daughters Samantha and Kaitlin Bergin of Waldwick, NJ, their mother Laura D'Annibale-Sims of Waldwick, NJ, his two sisters Kathleen Bergin of Joshua Tree, CA and Mary Martino of Yaphank, NY, as well his four nephews Brian, Ben, Matthew and Jimmy. Danny loved the NY Mets, cooking, his puppy Peanut and winning a game of backgammon. Danny worked for the NYRA as a mutual clerk for 40 years and made many wonderful friends there. The mention of his name brings a smile to peoples face, and a funny "Danny story" to mind. His smile was contagious and his presence made people feel safe and loved. Danny was a funny, strong and incredibly friendly man who will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service held at St. Luke's Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ on Saturday, November 16th at 11 AM.
