Frank Lucine

Frank Michael, 95 formerly of River Vale and Woodcliff Lake, passed away on March 19, 2014. Born in Alpine, NJ, to Margaret and Caesar Lucine. He is survived by his son, Michael, and his wife, Faith; his son, Chris; and his daughter, Amy, and her husband Jeff; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann Lucine (Godfrey); sister, Helen, and son, Mark. Frank graduated Tenafly High School in 1937. He was a United States Army Staff Sergeant having served in the Philippines in World War II, and was wounded in combat and received two Purple Hearts and the Good Conduct Medal. He graduated from Indiana State University, and received a Master's degree from the University of Michigan. Frank was an English teacher at Hackensack High School for 33 years, retiring in 1985. His understanding of humanity and humility always left people with a sense of what a special individual he was. A memorial service will be said in his honor on Saturday, April 26, 2014, 10 AM at Our Lady Mother of the Church, Woodcliff Lake.
