Grant B. Dellabough

Grant Bruske M.D., of Dumont, New Jersey passed away on November 21, 2012 at Villa Marie Claire Hospice in Saddle River, New Jersey. He was 87 and born March 19, 1925, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Dellabough graduated from Columbia University in 1948, after serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received his medical degree from New York University Medical School in 1952. A family practitioner in Bergen County his entire career, he made house calls and delivered hundreds of babies at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey.
A serious artist, he had several exhibitions of his paintings in Manhattan, Piermont, New York, and various Bergen County locations. He also wrote three self-published novels.
He was a passionate music lover as well as an early environmentalist with a great appreciation for the natural world. Among his great joys were scuba diving, snorkeling, and sailing in the Caribbean.
Dr. Dellabough is survived by his children, Robin Dellabough, Liana Rodegard and her husband Svante, Kassia Dellabough, Damien Dellabough, Derek Dellabough and his wife Peggy, and Marlitt Dellabough, and eight grandchildren. His former wife, Dorothy Nelson Dellabough, predeceased him. His second wife, Jane Smith, survives him.
