James Hazen
Midland Park - Hazen, James, age 99, of Midland Park, passed away on Tuesday, September 11th, 2018. James was born in Ridgewood and lived in Midland Park for 90 years. James was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943-1945 and flew 35 combat missions as a tail-gunner on a B-24 bomber. He worked for Broadway Bank for 50 years and he was a member of Faith Reformed Church in Midland Park. He is survived by his children, Annalee Dorsa and her husband, Vincent, of Greenbackville, VA, James Hazen and his wife, Twyla, of Maryville, MO, and Gary Hazen of Midland Park. Also surviving are his 2 grandsons and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Lena, in 2014. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 16th from 3-6pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 17th at 10:30am at Faith Reformed Church, 95 Prospect St., Midland Park, NJ. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in James' memory can be made to Faith Reformed Church or to a charity of your choice.
