Obituary: Frances T. Birch

Frances T. (Houlihan) Birch, 82, of Ho-Ho-Kus, died on Nov. 9.

Born in Hoboken, she lived in Teaneck before moving to Ho-Ho-Kus in 1987. She was a homemaker and gifted in arts and crafts. She was a parishioner of St. Luke's R.C. Church in Ho-Ho-Kus.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Birch (Robyn) of Memphis, Tenn., Patrick Birch of Los Angeles, Calif., Mary Ann Dunn (Gino) of Las Vegas, Nev., Kathleen DeAngelis (Neil) of West Milford and James Birch of Ridgefield Park; her grandchildren, Timothy, Thomas, Katie, James, Andrew, Daniel, Joseph III, Matthew, Michael, Kevin, Christina, Thomas and Nicholas; and her great-granddaughter, Grace. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Birch; and her brother, Walter Houlihan.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. in Wyckoff. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14 at St. Luke's R.C. Church, 340 N. Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus, with interment in the church cemetery.
