Raymond J. Zantarski
Raymond J. Zantarski, 76, of Dumont, died peacefully July 11, 2018 with his family surrounding him after a long illness. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose Marie Begin (née Garofolo). Survived by his devoted children, Raymond J. Zantarski Jr. and fiancée Geannine, Stan Zantarski, Rachel Zantarski, step-children, Anne Vecchione and husband George, Linda Hoyt and husband Tim, Cecile Hahn and husband Rob. Cherished grandfather of six step-grandchildren.
Raymond was born in Newark, NJ to Helen Zantarski and Arthur Racioppi. He was a police officer with the Newark Police Department, and was also owner and operator of J.R. Raymond Real Estate in West New York, NJ. Raymond enjoyed exercising and physical activities, as well as watching NFL football, and was a Miami Dolphins fan, an avid history buff, interested in all military battles. He was a great supporter of U.S. military forces.
Visiting Saturday, July 14th, 9 AM -10:45 AM, with a service directly following, at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Entombment Madonna Cemetery & Mausoleum, Ft. Lee, NJ.
