Richard Casler

RINGWOOD — Services were held for Richard Casler, 87, of Haledon, who died on Friday, May 17, 2013. He was the brother of James of this community.

Born in Marcellus, N.Y., Mr. Casler moved to Haledon in 1949. He was a pressman for Berles Carton Company, Paterson, for 41 years before retiring in 1982. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of St. Mary's Memorial Episcopal Church, Haledon.

Services were Tuesday at the DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home, Haledon.

Mr. Casler also is survived by his wife, the former Cornelia Ripmeester; his sons, Richard of Little Falls, and Paul of Vernon; his sister, Alice Smith, of Marcellus; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother, Edward; and his sister, Rose Green.
