Sandra Caroselli

Sandra (Leardi), passed away on November 24, 2013 after a short illness. She was born in Paterson, NJ on May 6, 1930 and was a life-long resident of that city. Sandy was a professional dancer in her teens and twenties, and then went on to become a well-known dance teacher in the local area. Her first studio was on Market Street in Paterson. She soon outgrew those quarters and moved, with all her original students, to McBride Avenue in West Paterson. Sandra Lee Dance Studio was a fixture there for over 20 years. She taught hundreds of students during her time on McBride Avenue. Some went on to professional show business careers, and others became teachers who opened dance studios in North Jersey. Sandy never had children of her own, but nurtured her students with the knowledge that she shared with them of her much loved craft. She was predeceased by her mother, Jennie Invenzione Leardi, her father Romolo Leardi, and her husband Otto Caroselli. She is survived by many loved ones, and her companion of several years, Bill Mornick. Visitation at the J. Opuda Lakeview Memorial, 492 Clifton Avenue, (between 3rd & 4th Sts.), Clifton on Friday 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by prayers at 12:30 PM. Interment East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
