Douglas Ackerman

Douglas Ackerman, 66, of Waldwick, a 28 year dedicated finance manager at Teterboro Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, passed on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 surrounded by love after a short battle with lung cancer. He is predeceased by his mother Evelyn Ackerman (of Waldwick). He is survived by his sister Dona Feldhann (of Brick, formerly of Waldwick), wife Jeannie Ackerman (of Waldwick), mother-in-law Ruth Wiese (of Midland Park), sister and brother in-law Shanel and Charles Klein (of Maryland), daughter and son-in-law Alexis Ackerman-Jacob and Rennie Jacob (of Hawthorne), daughter and son-in-law Ericka and Brian O'Hara and grandsons Jackson and Colin O'Hara (of Bloomingdale). Friends may visit with the family from 4-8pm on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne. A funeral service will be held at 7pm. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Department of Persons with Disabilities (DPD) at http://dpd.org/. (www.browningforshay.com)

I worked with doug at teterboro for many years back in the 80's and 90's. at that time my father owned teterboro Chrysler. i remember all the laughs and good times. i am truly saddened to learn of his passing. he was a good man. may god rest his soul.

I just saw you last month and didn't think it would have been the last. So deeply saddened to hear of your passing. Thank you for your service you gave to us as long time customers of Teterboro Chrysler. You were a great person and always spoke about your family, especially your grand children. So sad to hear of Doug's passing. I am a customer of Jeep and had Doug do my finances on a number of vehicles we grew to know each other over the years ...he was a great guy that will be deeply missed .R.I.P.
