Valerie Pena Obituary
Valerie (Roper) 48, on Monday, January 4, 2015. Beloved wife of Charles "Chuck" A. Pena. Born in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of Yolanda (Romeo) Roper and the late David Roper. Mrs. Pena was employed as manager of JC Christophers Salon & Spa in Kinnelon, NJ and was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two daughters, Ashley M. and Kaitlyn M. brother, Steven J. Roper, sister, Marilyn A. Roper . Predeceased by a brother, David P. Roper in 1981. Friends may call at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Thursday January 7 from 4-8 PM. Funeral mass on Friday, January 8 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church at 10:30 AM. Interment at St. Joseph's Church Cemetery, West Milford, NJ. (richardsfuneralhome.com)

Val was and will always be remembered as a true "Woman of Valor." She valiantly fought and triumphed over cancer for many years, exhausting every possible treatment option available. Val's courage and endurance demonstrated how very much she loved and cherished her family. Her loving husband, Chuck, and two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Kaitlyn, along with her other family and friends, will always carry Val close in their hearts and keep her memory alive forever...
