Obituary Condolences

Blanche (nee Aronowitz), passed away peacefully at Lincolnshire, Illinois on December 6, 2013. Blanche was 88 years old. Blanche was predeceased by her husband, Morris Blazer, her brothers Martin and Louis Aronowitz and her sister Ida Callahan, as well as sister-in-law Selma Aronowitz and brother-in-law Robert Callahan. She is survived by her brother Bernard Aronowitz, sisters-in-law Jean Aronowitz (Martin) and Pearl Aronowitz (Louis). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Bruce Callahan, Steven Aronowitz (Donna), Kevin Callahan (Catherine), Paul Callahan (Debbie), Anne Newell (David), Karen Aronowitz, Susan Krane (Andrew), Carol Aronowitz (Andrew Horowitz) and Janet Aronowitz. Blanche is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews. Blanche was the daughter of Jacob and Celia Aronowitz. Blanche was a graduate of Eastside High School in Paterson where she was a member of the National Honor Society and various athletic clubs. She worked for many years at Claude Bamberger International, LTD as an Office Manager/Accounting Specialist. Blanche was proud to have been a member of Hadassah for more than 50 years, as well as an avid supporter of The Audubon Society and PBS. She was also very active in the Aronowitz Family Circle. Blanche loved to travel and explored many countries around the world, in particular after retirement, when she spent many happy excursions with Elder Hostel. Blanche had a great love for New York City, and in particular Broadway, seeing all the latest shows. Blanche's nieces and nephews were like her own children to her. Aunt Blanche was that "special" aunt who was always treating a niece or nephew to something, from a trip to Palisades Park to the latest Broadway show or an exploration of Chinatown or Greenwich Village. Her nieces and nephews loved just being with Aunt Blanche. Visitation will be at 10 AM followed by an 11 AM Memorial Service on Sunday, December 15, at the Louis Suburban Chapel located at 13-01 Broadway, Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Interment will follow at the Ozorkower Society Cemetery, Saddle Brook, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the .
