(92), of Teaneck, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday September 12, 2017. He was born on August 2, 1925 to Harold and Edith Westervelt in Hackensack, NJ and grew up in Bogota, NJ.

He is survived by the love of his life, Theresa Westervelt, married for 68 years, and his four children: David Westervelt (Jaime); Jim Westervelt (Martie); Judy Oliva (Mark); and Robin Kuhrt (Jay).

Harold loved his grandchildren Melanie Pinzuti (Robert); Steven Westervelt (Erin); Adam Westervelt (Erin); Jackie Millar (Evan); Gary Oliva (Rachel); Matthew Oliva; Brian Kuhrt (Amy); Jodi Olsen (AJ); Lisa Silva (Jon); Amy Kuhrt; and great-grandchildren Kendall, Alexandra, Dylan, Tripp, Jason, Jake, Sam, Savannah, and Brody. He was predeceased by grandson John Oliva and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Westervelt.

Harold served in the Navy during WWII, on the Destroyer USS McLanahan.

He worked for 32 years at PSE&G. He loved to sing and had a special talent of whistling. He was a wonderful, Godly man. He will be missed dearly.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, 5-8pm at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck, NJ. Service Saturday, 11am at the funeral home. Interment to follow, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
