Helen G. (nee Cancro) of Wyckoff, formerly of Teaneck, on October 23, at age 95.
Beloved mother of Camille Norton (Rich), Elaine O'Reilly (Gene), Yvonne Johnson (Jerry) and Edward Hannan (Alice). Adored grandmother of Scott Norton (Jean), Chris Norton (Karen), Denise Tunick (Matt), Timothy O'Reilly (Malinda), Keryn Mathas (Teddy), Glenn O'Reilly (Kelly), Tammy Hammer (Joe), Melissa Norton (Paul Flicek), Kim Moskovic (Donny), Dawn Rhodes (Sean), Tara Hannan (Jeff Karlbon), and Lindsey Kanter (Rob). Cherished great-grandmother of Scotty, Emily and Grace Norton; Madi and Kate Norton; Brianne and Alyssa Tunick; Devin and Brendan O'Reilly; Julia, Tim and Ella Mathas; Michael, Casey, Cullen and Finn O'Reilly and Cora Hope; Brian and Rebecca Hammer; William Flicek; Ben and Ryan Moskovic; Christian Rhodes; Andrew and Kyle Karlbon; and Alexander and Charles Kanter. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Born in New York City, Helen moved to Teaneck at age two, where she lived for eighty-five years before moving to Wyckoff. Helen was a graduate of the Holy Name Hospital Nurse's Aide program, and worked at Holy Name Hospital until she retired in 1985. She is predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Carmela Cancro, her husbands Edward Hannan and Patrick McGoldrick, eleven brothers and sisters, and her grandson Paul Johnson. An inspirational mother and loyal friend, Helen's warm smile and golden heart will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited for visitation on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. Funeral service on Monday from the funeral home at 9 AM and then to St. Anastasia RCC, 1095 Teaneck Road, Teaneck for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
