Henry A. "Hank" Conway, 97, of Pompton Plains, NJ (formerly of Oradell and River Edge), died peacefully July 7, 2018. Predeceased by his first wife of 49 years, Anne (née Morse) and second wife of 17 years, Marilyn (née Tulp). Survived by his devoted children, James Conway and wife Bobbi, Catherine Boccieri, Barbara Rogers and husband Scott, Joan King and husband Scott, Allan Conway and wife, Trudy, and step-children, Lloyd Tulp, Diane Tulp, Susan Marshall and Michael Tulp. Cherished grandfather of ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Predeceased by his siblings, Thomas Conway and Sally Ann Ryan, who also died at the age of 97.

Hank was born to Nicholas and Sally (née McCall) in Oradell, NJ. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WW II as First Lt. navigating B-24s in the 15th Air Force. He was a prisoner of war after being shot down during his 16th mission over Ploesti, Romania. He was awarded both the Purple Heart and Air Service Medal. He married Anne Morse, also from Oradell, and resided in River Edge for over 50 years. He was a Real Estate Broker and partner with Gabriel Realty, Paramus, NJ. Over the course of his 40 year career, he handled hundreds of sales of businesses in Northern New Jersey. His life-long passion for tennis culminated in twelve U.S.T.A. National Senior Championships over several decades, including reaching National Number 1 ranking in multiple senior divisions. He will be remembered at his dedicated bench overlooking the River Edge tennis courts
