J. Robert "Bob" Duffy
Fort Lee - J. Robert "Bob" Duffy, 82, of Fort Lee, New Jersey and formerly of Salem, MA passed away on January 15, 2021. He was the son of James R. Duffy and Selma Kjellgren Duffy. Bob worked in the construction and community development field until his retirement. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed sailing, tennis, golf and skiing. Bob lived life with gusto and made friends wherever he went. He traveled on numerous domestic and overseas ski trips with his pals and was a member of the Mountain Creek Resort Ski Patrol. Bob was well known for his thriftiness and his over-the-top command of trivia. He was a past Trustee and member of the Palisades Park Fort Lee Elks where he had many friends.
He is survived by his sister, Margery St. Pierre of Salem, MA and nieces and nephews Susan and Linda St. Pierre, Larry and David St. Pierre, Paul, Robert, Richard and Kevin Peicott. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Peicott. He also leaves a special friend, Pam Flaim of Fort Lee with whom he shared many years of friendship and countless laughs.
A celebration of his life will be held in the summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Special Children Fund c/o the Palisades Park Fort Lee Elks #2475, 536 10th St, Palisades Park, NJ 07650.
