Jane Carol Behringer

Park Ridge - Jane Behringer (nee O'Brien), 61, of Park Ridge, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Bruce Behringer. Devoted mother of Dana Kelliher and her husband Chris of Windham, NH and son Keith and his fiancé Shannon of River Vale, NJ. Cherished grandmother of Aiden and Connor Kelliher. Dear sister of Nancy Hogan and her husband Bill, and James O'Brien and his wife Marietta. Fond daughter-in-law of Grace Behringer and sister-in-law of Susan Thompson. Survived and loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jane was predeceased by her parents, James and Alyce O'Brien.

Jane grew up in Pearl River, NY attending St. Margaret's Elementary School and Pearl River High School. She worked as a customer service supervisor at Prentice Hall Publishing Company before raising a family, and later worked at Interactive Marketing Group as a marketing manager. She was a very generous volunteer in the Park Ridge School System elementary and high school PTO's, in the CCD program of Our Lady of Mercy, and as a den mother in the Park Ridge Cub Scouts. We will fondly remember her unbelievable strength and her love of family, animals, reading, travel, relaxing on the porch, and her Irish heritage.

The family would like to thank her doctor, Dr. Alan Israel for his compassion and care during her 17-year battle with cancer. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Monday, September 17 from 7-9PM and Tuesday, September 18 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Memorial Mass celebrating Jane's life and faith will be held at St. Margaret's Church, Pearl River, NY on Wednesday, September 19 at 10AM followed by interment at Westwood Cemetery.
