He was born in Jersey City and lived in Wayne for 43 years before moving to Wanaque, New Jersey. He was a retired Union President of Local 945 in Wayne. Joseph was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Haskell and an Army Korean War Veteran. Beloved husband of Lilli (Reich) Campisano of Parsippany for 66 years, loving father of Frank R. Campisano and his wife Andrea of Parsippany and Joseph M. Campisano and his significant other Colleen O'Sullivan of Wayne. He is predeceased by his siblings; Anthony, Frank and Gus Campisano, Rose O'Brien and Frances McGoldrick. Grandfather of Marissa, Robert, James, Michael and Nicole Campisano.
