In the early 1950's she performed Madame Butterfly on Broadway and performed a solo at the Metropolitan Opera House with the Glee Club. She gave up her career to marry the love of her life Leo Markevitch and to raise their five daughters. They met when they received Holy Communion when they were 7 years old. A love story they shared with everyone. She shared 60+ years of her life with her beloved husband Leo before his passing 8 years ago. In addition, she leaves her daughters Teresa McEllen and her husband Bob of Lakewood, NJ, Patti Visconte Robinson and her late husband Mark Robinson of Hampton, NH, Lorraine Castelluccio of Teaneck, NJ, Kathleen Jacobus and her husband Jake of Warwick, NY and her beloved daughter Maureen Markevitch of Teaneck, NJ.
